The Skrap Pack and USA’s own Amanda Lucas is seeking her first ever MMA title this weekend against a two decade veteran of the grappling arts.
Saturday Lucas will face Japan MMA pioneer and former pro-wrestler Yumiko Hotta for DEEP’s first ever female open-weight title. Lucas weighted in at 70 kg (154 pounds), while her opponent Hotta weighed in at 68.6 kg (151 pounds).
Lucas (3-1) has become a staple of the company, and is on a three fight win streak. She has submitted her last two opponents at DEEP coming into the title match, and since slimmed down to hopefully make the 145 division sometime in the near future.
Hotta hasn’t done MMA in over a decade, but has been active in the pro-wrestling scene. She is currently the managing director for REINA Pro Wrestling.
The fight will happen Saturday night in Tokyo at Tokyo City Hall.
