Bubba Jenkins signs six-fight RFA contract
Resurrection Fighting Alliance lands another top prospect
KEARNEY (Neb.) - Former NCAA wrestling champion Jesse "Bubba" Jenkins has signed a multi-fight contract with the Resurrection Fighting Alliance promotion.
One of the hottest young prospects in mixed martial arts, Jenkins has a 1-0 pro record and made his MMA debut in December with a first-round submission win over Josh Williams at Tachi Palace Hotel in California.
A decorated college wrestler, Jenkins, 23, wrestled at Penn State for three years before transferring to Arizona State University, where he won the NCAA national championship at 157 pounds in 2011. He finished his college career with a 94-24 record.
Jenkins fights out of American Top Team in Florida, one of the elite MMA academies that houses many world class trainers and fighters. He is represented by Gorilla Management and Willy Navarro of Miami.
Jenkins is considered one of the top prospects to move into mixed martial arts and is expected to make his highly anticipated debut for the RFA in late spring or early summer.
Resurrection Fighting Alliance (RFA) was founded in 2011 and includes a number of prominent businessmen, fight promoters, matchmakers, and others with successful careers in hosting Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) shows across the United States. For more information, visit www.RFAfighting.com.
