At the age of 13 years, Letourneau found itself in a reception center closed, but it is thanks to this disturbing experience she began to play sports, a discovery that changed his life.

"When I left after a year and a half, I had changed and I knew I needed that," said the fighter for 28 years at TVA Sports.

After passionate about kickboxing and jiu-jitsu, Letourneau then participated in his first fight in MMA. She was 21 years old.

The Quebecers trains more often than with men, something that does not always play in his favor.

"There are so many risks of injury, said Letourneau. This is hard on morale. "

Women in UFC?

Do women have their place in the UFC soon? A question that does not seem to interest the UFC President Dana White. Still, Letourneau believes that things will soon improve.

"Hopefully it will happen with Dana White, she said. There is much interest in women. For each card, people are always impressed by the fighting.

"I think we have passed the stage where we thought it was just the hair pulling. The fighting women are always interesting and this is real fighting. "

With four wins and two losses, it would soon get into the octagon.

"As long as I'm having an interest in my sport, I will continue," she said.
