Invicta FC President Considering 135lb Tournament as Sara McMann is Recovering from Injury

As Sarah McMann has been promised a title shot, Invicta's President Shannon Knapp wants to hold a tournament to decide who faces her in the future. The problem with promising a title shot is there's always a chance that a fighter could go down with an Injury. Invicta had four impressive victories by 135 lb fighters at their second event and any two of them could be worthy of a title fight. I would let McMann keep her title shot for when she comes back but have Alexis Davis face Liz Carmouche in a title fight. Davis is ranked higher than McMann and Carmouche also has more experience and is coming off two dominant finishes. I would also have Sarah D'Alelio vs Amanda Nunes in a contenders fight, where the winner could get a title shot before or after McMann, if and when she recovers. Source: MMA Junkie
