"I had two back-to-back fight camps. I talked to Invicta and this has been over three months that I've been training at a really hard pace and hard conditioning. I might be able to do it but I'm running the risk of getting an "overuse" injury or something happening because I've been pushing my body very hard for a while. I also told them that I don't know that it's fair that Shayna [Bayzler] and I were fighting for the right to earn a title shot and we had that added pressure for both of our fights. If somebody else is just given that opportunity while we had to earn it, I think that's a little less fair to me. Someone else should have to earn that spot like we did. That extra pressure changes people. You see fights where they say that the winner of a fight is a title contender and some people rise to the occasion and some don't."-- Undefeated bantamweight and Olympic silver medalist freestyle wrestler Sara McMann earned a title shot for the inaugural Invicta Fighting Championships 135-pound title less than two weeks ago when she defeated veteran Shayna Baszler via unanimous decision in the main event of Invicta FC 2. During an appearance on Bloody Elbow Radio, McMann stated that she would prefer to wait until Invicta FC 4 to fight for the belt and in the meantime, the promotion should create a similar match like her main event which had title implications. Fair is fair. There is a laundry list of viable contenders which includes former Strikeforce champion Marloes Coenen, former challenger Liz Carmouche and top talents Alexis Davis and Amanda Nunes.
