Ring of Combat 39 takes place at the Tropicana Resort and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and features a matchup between Munah Holland and Pearl Gonzalez. The event will be streamed LIVE and can be purchased for $15 at GoFightLive.
To say that Munah Holland was an accomplished striker would be an understatement. She has fought and medalled at the N.Y. Golden Gloves, as well as the Women’s Golden Glove Boxing Nationals. She also was one of the top fighters competing in Chuck Norris’s World Combat League. In November 2010, Holland (2-1) transitioned her skills to the cage, where she won her pro MMA debut via unanimous decision against Kim Couture. Two months later she would lose via a second round triangle choke to Justine Kish, however in June 2011, she would bounce back with an impressive TKO finish of Marissa Caldwell. After going 8-1 as an amateur, Gonzalez (0-0) makes her much anticipated pro debut. She took some time on Sunday to discuss her upcoming bout with MarQ Piocos of Wombat Sports.
