Anthony Johnson will next compete at Titan Fighting 22 on May 25 and now has an opponent.
Former UFC and Strikeforce competitor David Branch has been tapped as the man who will welcome “Rumble” back to action.
HDNet’s Inside MMA confirmed the bout on Friday.
Branch was a four-time Octagon veteran in the UFC before being released from the promotion following a loss to Rousimar Palhares in March 2011.
Since that time the Renzo Gracie trained fighter has picked up wins in two consecutive bouts, including a TKO over former Ultimate Fighter competitor Jeremy May.
Branch will be the first fight for Johnson since his exit from the UFC following a loss to Vitor Belfort at UFC 142 in January.
Prior to Branch landing the fight, fellow former UFC competitor Jay Silva was offered the bout with Johnson, but ultimately a deal could not be struck.
Johnson vs. Branch will headline the Titan Fighting Championships 22 show from Kansas City on May 25 and it will air live on HDNet.
