KEARNEY (Neb.) - Two of the top female fighters in the world have been added to the March 30 Resurrection Fighting Alliance card at Kearney's Viaero Event Center.
Three women's fights - one amateur and two pro - are scheduled for RFA 2, including two of the sport's most feared female fighters in Tara LaRosa and Elaina Maxwell.
LaRosa is the No. 1 ranked female in the world at 125 pounds, according to the Unified Women’s MMA Rankings, while Maxwell is ranked No. 6 in the world at 145 pounds.

LaRosa is 20-2 as a pro and has won numerous titles, including the first and final bodogFight bantamweight belts. She is the No. 2 ranked women's mixed martial arts fighter of all time by Fightmatrix.com and has a Brazilian jiu-jitsu purple belt under the legendary Royce Gracie.
A New Jersey native now fighting out of Philadelphia, LaRosa's opponent is not yet determined. She recently signed a multi-fight deal with the RFA.
Maxwell, a Strikeforce and King of the Cage veteran from California with a 6-4 pro record, will fight Ashley Sanchez (4-2) of Illinois at 145 pounds.
Maxwell has won four of her past five fights, including wins over respected Strikeforce veterans Alexis Davis and Shana Nelson. Sanchez returned to the sport last year after a 3-year hiatus to win both of her fights, including a unanimous decision over heavily favored and more experienced veteran Erin Toughill.
On the RFA 2 amateur card, talented up-and-comers Jessamyn Duke and Marciea Allen will square off in a champion against champion bout at 135 pounds.

Duke (4-2) is the current Tuff-N-Uff champion at 145 pounds, while Allen (5-2) is the Tuff-N-Uff champ at 135. RFA 2 includes 14 pro bouts that begin at 7 p.m. on March 30 at the Viaero Event Center in Kearney. A card featuring six scheduled amateur fights begins at 5 p.m.
