Anderson Silva To Make $500,000 From Burger King Sponsorship For UFC 148

The news was reported by Tatame.com that UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva, will be getting a nice pay day from one of his sponsors , Burger King.

It’s not common for financial details on sponsorship deals with MMA fighters to be reported or leaked. The only other current or former fighters in MMA to possibly make as much or more off a sponsorship deal are Former UFC fighter Brock Lesnar and current UFC welterweight Georges St-Pierre.

Georges St-Pierre was the first fighter to land a huge sponsorship deal when he signed with Gatorade and Under Armour. Nike has now been getting involved with MMA by also sponsoring Anderson Silva.
In the past, Nike sponsored Japanese fighters Caol Uno, Tatsuya Kawajiri, Yoshihiro “Sexyama” Akiyama and Kazuyuki “Little Hercules” Miyata as well.

Burger King has also sponsored seasons of The Ultimate fighter. Many fans feel that a fast food restaurant being allowed to sponsor a sport where diet and nutrition is critical, is a joke.
But no matter what, at the end of the day, everything is about the money.
Here are a couple commericals Anderson Silva has already done for Burger King.
