Colleen Schneider |
Addison Sports Media and Management is happy to announce that we have signed to represent Colleen Schneider in her bid to elevate her MMA career to the next level.
Schneider began her training in Oakland and San Francisco, where she trained under world champ Gilbert Melendez as a part of the Skrap Pack. She is now fighting out of Throwdown Training Center in Las Vegas, NV.Colleen is supported by an amazing team and trainers, with head MMA coach John Wood, Jiu Jitsu coach Cameron Diffley and Muay Thai coach Mark Beecher.
She trained in traditional martial arts (Karate, Taekwondo & Hapkido) most of my life and transitioned to MMA in 2008.
"When Colleen approached me about representation, I really didn't hesitate at all except I did reach out to Sam Wilson as to her thoughts. They were positive. I had been aware of who she was since 2010 and she took some really tough fights her first couple bouts with Sarah D'Alelio and Liz Carmouche. Those are a couple of pretty formidable opponents to start off a pro career with. I knew she was training at the highly regarded Throwdown Gym with John Wood of who I respect allot. I saw her fight in the Super Fight League and saw what I feel was the caliber of athlete that she was against Cherie Buck. After a conversation with her about where she was in her training she indicated that everything was dialed in, coming together and she was feeling very good about her direction mentally, physically and emotionally."
Schneider is set to fight again in the Super Fight League again in October of 2012. Presuming that she will come away with a victory, she would fight for the promotion's belt in December at 125 lbs. Colleen has been able to make that transition from 135 lbs to 125 lbs with comfort and a mind set of discipline.
"I feel that Colleen will do very well at 125 lbs and perform at a level that will showcase her strengths and skill sets. My goal is to place her in one or possibly two fights prior to her appearance in the Super-fight League in December in an effort to acclimate her to 125 lbs. With the guidance from Mr. Wood and the rest of the Throwdown team in choosing her opponents, I feel confident that she will emerge as a serious contender in the 125 lb division."
