Pacific Northwest veterans “Slick” Sally Krumdiack and “Little” Patricia Vidonic will face off in a featured strawweight bout at CageSport 20 on July 14th in Tacoma, Washington. MMARising.com confirmed plans for the matchup on Monday following an initial announcement from Vidonic.
Krumdiack and Vidonic were initially set to face off in February for another Washington-based promotion, Fight Night Entertainment, but that bout was scrapped when FNE officials failed to secure necessary licences in time. Both fighters look to rebound from setbacks in their most recent fights.
Krumdiack (9-5-0) has faced tough competition throughout her career dating back to her pro debut in October 2006. The Washington native has primarily competed at 125 pounds, where she holds titles for both Legends MMA and Freestyle Cage Fighting, and recently returned to the 115-pound strawweight division for her Invicta FC debut in April. Krumdiack was submitted by jiu-jitsu ace Sarah Schneider on the Invicta FC card, but she remains one of the more well-rounded fighters in the division and will bring an experience advantage into the July bout in her home state.
Vidonic (6-3-0) suffered a setback in her pro debut, but the Oregon-based fighter bounced back with an impressive six-fight winning streak that included notable submission victories over Lacey Schuckman and Chelsea Colarelli. Vidonic’s 2012 campaign has not been as successful, however, and she is coming off of decision defeats against top-ten opponents Jessica Aguilar and Felice Herrig. Vidonic had signed on to face Carla Esparza at Invicta FC 2, but that bout was pulled off of the table following her loss to Herrig and she now looks to get back on the winning track by defeating Krumdiack next month.
CageSport 20 takes place on July 14th at Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, Washington.
