Nearly six months after their first showdown, UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson will return to the Octagon to rematch Frankie Edgar, the man he took the belt from.
Their first fight went the distance with Henderson taking home the decision and Edgar’s belt.
UFC president Dana White had initially leaned toward pairing Henson up with Anthony Pettis for his first defense, but after granting immediate rematch to his last two opponents, Edgar wanted the same treatment after what many deemed a close fight.
White, Henderson, and Edgar will be in Denver on Tuesday for a press conference to kick off ticket sales for UFC 150, which takes place Aug. 11 at the Pepsi Center.
The press conference is free and open to the public, but if you’re not in Denver or can’t get to the Pepsi Center on Tuesday, you can watch the UFC 150 kickoff press conference streaming live at 1 p.m. ET / 10 a.m. PT on MMAWeekly.com, courtesy of the UFC.
