Veteran referee Herb Dean to work RFA2

KEARNEY (Neb.) – Legendary referee Herb Dean will oversee the pro bouts at the RFA 2 mixed martial arts event March 30 at Kearney's Viaero Event Center.
Dean is one of the most experienced and respected officials in mixed martial arts, with more than 4,700 fights on his resume.
Known mostly for his officiating role in the Ultimate Fighting Championship organization, Dean also refereed for other well-known fight promotions such as World Extreme Cagefighting, HDNet, Strikeforce and others.
Dean won MMA Awards for referee of the year in 2010 and 2011, and he is a regular on the hit Spike TV show “The Ultimate Fighter.”
Dean has refereed in the UFC since 2004 and worked some of the most memorable fights in UFC history, including Tim Sylvia vs. Frank Mir, Tito Ortiz vs. Ken Shamrock and Stephan Bonner vs. Forrest Griffin.
He has refereed notable names such as Renzo Gracie, George St. Pierre, Chuck Liddell, Matt Huges, Randy Couture, Anderson Silva and Urijah Faber.
Dean, who lives in California, also fights professionally and is an experienced judge.
Resurrection Fighting Alliance 2 includes a fight card featuring eight amateur and 13 pro fights. The main event is a light heavyweight fight between UFC veterans Gilbert Yvel (37-16-1) and Houston Alexander (13-7-0).
