Molly Dupertuis |
ASMM is really all about vision in woman's MMA. The indicator and commitment to that is evident in the signing of Molly Dupertuis. Dupertuis has primarily a Muay Thai background with an amateur record of 1-0.
She is currently 1-1 in MMA and looks to build her record in her native state of Kentucky in Absolute MMA's "Caged Aggression" on June 26, 2012 where she will face Hannah Fitzpatrick who is 2-1 at 145 lbs.
Molly trains out of SSF ( Scientific Street Fighting) in Clarksville, TN under the instruction of Ron Dayley who owns the facility and offers a complete curriculum of MMA, strength and conditioning. Molly is now looking to elevate her already developing skill set to a more complete and rounded approach. Although young in her MMA career she has demonstrated a commitment to being a complete competitor and athlete.
In conversation with Absolute MMA's promoter Billy Donovan he supports and feels that Molly has what it takes to be a "complete package" in terms of competition and as a representative of the sport. "She has the talent, presentation and manner of appearance that people are drawn to. She is the kind of person you want to be around. She has a base in her stand up and her ground is coming along very good."
"I had seen some media on her as of late and didn't think much of it until for some reason I was looking around at different interviews and articles and she for some reason stuck with me. She is from Kentucky and I thought about Jessamyn Duke who we had signed also as an amateur with very good success. I spoke to Jessamyn about her as well as Sam Wilson. Jess said to me, "Yes, I've met her and I like her. I think she's got what it takes. She's got a great heart, she's sincere and she is serious about staying in shape you can tell by looking at her. I'd really like her to come down and train with me." That with the other research I did on her just reinforced to me that she would be a great addition to our team."
